| Brooke's Books Publishing continues their Bride's Tree Ornament Series with ornament #8 "Faithfulness". A German tradition of gifting a bride and groom 12 special symbols for their first Christmas tree to ensure a life of happiness together. Symbol: Rose, Meaning: Affection, Faithfulness. The model is stitched on 28ct Country French Cafe Mocha Linen using Crescent Colours Belle Soie Silk floss (Orchid, Rosebud, Herb Garden, Collard Greens), Crescent Colours Cotton (Fleur De Lilac, Nutmeggie). DMC equivalents for the entire design are (3727, 316, 3052, 520, 211, 3726, 524 and 3753). Mill Hill beads 03050 are used in this design as well. The stitch count is 53w x 53h with an approximate design size of 4" x 4" when stitched on 14ct or 28ct over 2 threads. |
